President Michael Sata has urged candidates contesting on the
PF ticket in the July 25 parliamentary by elections to put maximum
effort in developing their respective areas if elected.
The President says areas such as Mkushi are still under developed and
need more work to be done to improve the lives of the people.
He says the candidates should take a leaf from the work he left in Mpika where he served as Member of Parliament.
President Sata was speaking at a rally to drum up support for the PF
candidate in the Mkushi North parliamentary by election Ingrid Mphande
in Nkumbi area in Mkushi.
And Ms Mphande has appealed to the people in the area to vote for her as she pledged to develop the area.
Other candidates vying for Mkushi North Seat are UNIP’s Bernard Nshimbi, MMD’s Jonathan Kapungwe and UPND’s Whyter Libbohole.
Others are NAREP’s Albert Kaweya and Felix Chisanga, an independent candidate.
